H.M. THEATRE.
| I lie programme screened last night proved to lie one of very high stand' ard; Each picture was new and novel. “The Inspector’s Story,” the star play of the evening, depicted the life of a poor child and the trouble brought about by a drunkard. This is a very pathetic play, and is acted to perfection. “On the Border” is a splendid Mexican drama teeming with excitement. “,Hee/,-a-Liar’s Big Game Hunt” is a splejidid comedy by J. R. Bray, the cartoonist. “Bathe’s War Gazette” contains news from the war. 1 wo very pretty scenies are “Ancient Egypt” and “In the Hartz Mountains.” A very fine Max Linder comedy is “Max on the Briny,” being full ol humorous situations and merry scenes. The Vitagraph comedy, “Fan. ny’s Melo-drama” was screened to roars of laughter. To-morrow night W. W. Jacobs’ comedy, “Beauty and the Barge,” featuring Cyril Maude and Lillian Logan, will be shown in a big programme.
