TIMARU WOOL SALES, i’KU Dress Association. Tima ru, February 18. At the third wool sale of the season to_day 44(50 hales were offered and 4290 sold. The wool comprised a large proportion ot dingy, sandy, heavy conditioned, and 80 per cent, of line wools Irom the hack country. The attendance ot buyers equalled the previous sales, and purchases were well distributed. There was an exicited demand lor coarse crossbred for army purposes, which advanced Id to 2d; lialfhreds par to Id better. -Merinos met with fair inquiry at parity with London prices. Scoured elicited keen bidding, and realised 174*1 for crossbred to 20Id for half-bred. NEWTON KING'S HAYMARKET REPORT, At my weekly Haymarket sale of last Saturday, I had a good yarding of pigs and prices were on a par with those of previous sale. I quote as follows : —Small weaners 7s (id to 12s, good 12s to 16s 6d, small stores 10s to £l, medium 23s Od to 26s 6d, good 30s to 42s 6d, 2 sows close to farrow £5 each, 2 pedigree boars £3 5s each, also a quantity of timber and sundries, which was all sold in favor of buyers.
