Archdeacon Packle, of Invercargill, has been appointed vicar of the Holy Trinitv Parish, Gisborne.
The death occurred this morning at Dunedin of Mr J. F. M. Fraser, K.C., Crown Prosecutor of the Dunedin district, at the age of 63.—P.A.
Mr John Terry, Registrar of the Supreme Court, New Plymouth, proceeds for Auckland to-night en route to Te Kuiti, in connection with the Taumarunui election petition.
