Beautiful weather was experienced for People's Day of the Masterton Show. The attendance was very large. The Prime .Minister was present, and in response to the toast of his health at the luncheon stated that everything possible had been done by the Government to assist in the transport of produce. The matter of requisitioning meat supplies for the lni_ perial Government was under consider. aton, but nothng definte would be decided upon for a day or two. The jumpng compettori was won by J. H. Mac Ewen's Pickpocket, with P. Drum. mond's Playboy second, and H. Hassall's Micky Free third. In the Consolation jump, P. Drummond's Playboy was first, W. Howard Booth's Hikorangi second, and. W. Strang's Molly third.
