CHASED BY TORPEDOERS. GERMAN SUBMARINE AT WORK. FRENCH STEAMER BLOWN UP NEAR DUNKIRK. United Press Association. (Received 12.45 p.m.) Paris, February 17. The German submarine Xo 16, on Tuesday, blew up and sunk the French steamer Ville de Lille between Cherbourg and Dunkirk, giving the crew ten minutes in which to escape. The submarine was about to sink a Norwegian steamer when fcorpedoers arrived, and the submarine disappeared.
