The Otautau Standard says :—On Saturday a horse-trainer, well known to >.the sporting fraternity as “Scotty” Cameron, who was in the employ of Mr Alex. Chisholm, was savaged by the horse Rose Noble, which caught Cameron by the wrist, throw him down, and almost worried' off the member. The horse became excited by the proximity of another animal, which it endeavoured to attack, by’ jumping over the stable door, and in endeavouring to separate the horses, Cameron was himself attacked. He was ordered to the Riverton Hospital. There is a chance that it will, not be necessary to amputate the hand.
