A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

A good attendance of me.obers of the general committee of the Stratford A. and P. Association was recorded at their office on Saturday afternoon, Mi E. Jackson (the president) being in

the chair. The chief business was the consideration, of the following ieport, which was adopted:— Your Committee have pleasure in reporting that since the last general meeting the annual show has been held and proved an unqualified success. The entries constituted a record, and expressions of visitors and exhibitors, both at the show and since, show that they appreciate the treatment that they received at the hands of the stewards, judges, and officials. The thanks of the executive are due to those exhibitors, stewards, judges, donors of special prizes, etc., who in any way assisted in making the fixture such a success. The statement of receipts shows an increase in entry fees, and although the gate receipts show a slight falling off, it must be remembered that the membership has increased, and would more than make up for the slight loss in the gates. The membership is now approaching 900 members. The Committee regret The large amount of members’ subscriptions still outstanding, and would impress upon all those who have not already done so, to forward theii subscriptions immediately. The aim of, the executive is to increase the membership to well over 1000 members. Members will readily recognise that membership is, the backbone of the Association finance, and in this direction your Committee would recommend member to endeavor to secure as many new members as possible. Prior to- the last, show, a number of improvements were effected, including the subdivision of the stock paddocks. This enabled all the show stock to be retained on the ground during the show, and was a great saving of time and expense, and was much appreciated by the exhibitors. It has been thought advisable ,to revise the schedule at an early opportunity, and sub-committees, which have been appointed, would welcome any practical suggestions for the improvement of the schedule. Y,onr, Cpmmitfee. have ..again; .decided to hold the Gymkhana on Easter ■ Monday ; next, and hope, with new novelties in the programme, that it will ho an even greater success than last year’s gathering.
