The largest and most representative deputation that ever waited upon any Cabinet Minister in Rotorua interviewed Mr Merries last night, when business men asked that exclusion fares to Rotorua be issued by the ordinary express on the Auckland and Thames lines on Saturdays to be available for return until the fol-
lowing Friday, also that excursion tickets be issued on all the .North i Island lines on one day of each i month, to be available for one month. Mr Merries promised that be would giv«fS*the proposal, or one as nearly similar to the scheme as practicable, a reasonable trial
