DRUNKENNESS AMONG TROOP- . ERS. United; Peess Association. (Received B.s a.m.) Melbourne, February 10. . String military action is pending in connection with drunkenness among the Melbourne troops. Mr Pearce stated -there were a number of men m uniform , whoso conduct was a nuisance to the public, and they really had no right in wearing the uniform, having been discharged from the ranks. 'lt was the intention of. the authorities to have these men cleared off. Men unlawfully wearing His Majesty’s uniforms would bo arrested and prosecuted.
