Mr Rorden, in the House of Commons, in referring to the German blockade, said be ventured to think it was equal to a declaration of war against the whole world, and lie hoped the nations would know how to deal with a policy ot that kind. Canada’s assistance in the war would only be limited by its end. Sir Wilfred Laurier reiterated the
promise of the Opposition to support the Government war measures. There was no possibility of a neutral nation mediating, and the sacrifice of life was likely to be continued for months.
