MARITZ’S FATE.
REPORTED EXECUTION FOR TREACHERY. United Press Association. (Received 10.0 a.m.) Capetown, February 10. An unconfirmed report states that the Germans executed Maritz, alleging treachery. The report stated that Ma.ritz loft the loyalist camp, promising to try and bring German artillery. It is believed the Germans discovered liis treachery during the attack on Kakamas when they narrowly escaped disaster. THE RISING IN NYASSALAND. (Received 10.0 a.m.) London, February 10. The Press Bureau states that tlie leader of tin* Nyassaland rising was killed. THE TRIAL OF WESSELS.
(Received 10.0 -a.in.) Capetown, February 10. The trial of Weasels is proceeding. A 'Basuto-chiof at Lethaniwopels gave evidence that Wessels in a lettei piorn.ised him their independence if ho kepi quiet or aided the rebels.
