Six Sections; aggregating over 3000 acres, 'in the 'Wellington Cfbwil' Lands district, 'were balloted for at Ohakune yesterday, there being 365'applicants.
The choicest allotment of 450 acres on the Mangawhero River, on the Raetihi—Parapara 'Road, was alloted to Edward Basry; Ohakune, out of one hundred and thirty-five applicants. • Results of other ballots: Soveii^yseven acres between Waiouru and Nina on South' Main Coach Road, V. B. Yoemans, of Marton, out of 4ix applicants; adjoining section of I|oo acres, J. A l .’Read, of Ohakune, out'of ninety-five applicants; 91 acres five in iles from Ohakune,. • 6.* W. Edhouse of Ohakune, one hundred and forty-live applicants; 15 16 acres Wherinaki G. J. Bowler of Raetihi, two applicants," 746 acres, twenty-foil^ 1 'miles'inland from Raetihi, South Waimarino block, A. D. 1 Wright, of Ohakune, out of twelvempplicants.
