At the Supreme Court to-day, Allan McDonald was acquitted on a charge of robbing Alexander Cronk of £l, and of using personal violence to him. James William Cannam was convicted on a charge of stealing throe sheep and three sheepskins, the property of Alex Kenney, at Chatto Creek. His Honor said the accused had apparently practised this offence for a number of years, and a sentence of eighteen months’ imprisonment was passed.
