Strong military action is pending in connection with drunkenness among the Melbourne troops. Mr Pearce etatl ed there were a. number of men in uniform whose conduct was a nuisance to the -public, and they reallyhad no right in wearing the uniform, having been ....discharged from the ranks. It was. the .intention of the authorities to have /these men cleared off. Men unlawfully wearing His Majesty’s uniforms would ho arrested and prosecuted.
