BENEFICIAL RAINS IN INDIA.
Times and Sydney Sun Service. (Received 8 a.m.) London, February 8. 'Plie Times’ Delhi correspondent reports that good rains in the northern, central, and western tracks are steadily extending. The Punjaub and Unit, ed Provinces show a much larger area, good germination being universal.
MISCELLANEOUS. London, February 8. Mr G. H. Barnes, Labor M.P., for Blackfriars, Glasgow, speaking at London, said that what the Government had done with regard to sugar ought to be done with wheat. The time bad come for the Government to declare that there shall be no further increase in the price of wheat.
