HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. Tlio management have secured a programme par excellence for next Thursday and Friday night. The leading picture is a masterpiece in two acts, entitled “The Angel of Contention.” a play of the Wild West of America, love and life in a mining camp. 'Phis picture is taken from the celebrated novel of Bret Harte, tho famous author of mining stories. “The Latest War Gazette” features—Our King and Lord Lov.a.tt- —gallant Scotch Chillies with mountain battery—Belgian homes wantonly shelled by tho Germans—Britain’s sea dogs watching for the skulking foe, including many other interesting events. The Keystone people present a splendid comedy. “Laughing Gas,” one of the best over shown here. “Col. Heez-a-Liar Adventures in Africa” is a funny comedy drawn by an artist. “The Voice of Silence” is an Fdison play, showing how a deaf and dumb girl beats a gang of desperate “crooks” in “Ancient Home.” “ILnV Fruit is Crystalised” is a good educational picture and Vitagraph’s comedy. “Innocent but Awkward,” is most humorous.
