HOUSEMAID'S SUDDEN DEATH.

Dunedin, February 7
A housemaid named Margaret Hail, who was employed at Mrs Sargood’s in Newington Avenue, died suddenly this morning. She was at work as usual yesterday, but did not feel too well, and was found dead in bed about 7.30 this morning. Dr. Riley, when •ailed in, pronounced life extinct, •'bath is supposed to have been due ;i -heart failure.
The fatal accident that caused the oath of Mr Hugh McQuillan,, at Joss, last week, was shockingly, sudlen. It appears the strong wind hat blew during the night caused tome trees to be uprooted and to be brown across the electric wires of lie power house, breaking them and bringing them in contact with the telephone wire. Unaware of this Mr McQuillan was about to use tin. telephone, but no sooner had he ouched the receiver than the electric ‘luid passed through his body, causng almost ;, ;stantaneous death.
