NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. TARANAKI RACES AT NEW PLYMOUTH. On 10th and 11th February, passenger trains leave Hawera 6.30 a.in. and 7.25 a.m., Stratford 8.10 a.in. and 8.53 a.m., arriving New Plymouth 10.5 a.m. and 10.45 l a.m. Return trains leave New Plymouth 6 p.m. and 6.35 p.m. for Hawera, Waitara and Whangamoinona. • The. usual 4.25 p.m. train, New Plymouth to* Hawera will not run. On 10th February the usual timetable on Toko Branch will, be suspend, ed. ' Passenger trains will leave \V bangamomoaa 5.45 a.m. and 11.40 a.m., To Wera 0.40 a.m. and 12.40 p.m., arriving Stratford 8.25 a.m. and 2.25 p.m. Passenger train leaves Stratford 9 p.m. after connecting with trains from New,. NOTICE is hereby gjven thar, at -a Special Meeting of the Council held at the Borough Council Chambers on the Third day of i* ebiu. ary, 1915, it was resolved that the Council should, by Special Order, adopt, pass, and make the By-la vs, aucopy' of' which was then proctu ■tvl. amending and adding to the Waxworks By-laws of the Council or the Borough of Stratford, and that at he ordinary meeting of the Council to bo held in tire Borough Council Chambers, Broadway, on the Bth day of March, 1915, at the hour of 8 p.m., the said resolution will he submitted for confirmation as a Special Order of the Council, and at such ordinary meeting the Council will also fix the Ist day of April, 1915, as the date upon which such By-laws shall come into force.

The object and purport of the * aid By-laws is to re.define ordinary and extraordinary supply, to adopt a mny scale of rate and charges lor water under the extraordinary .-upply and for meter-rents and otherwise, and to make such further provisions as is considered necessary in respect of the regulation of the Borough Waterworks and of the ordinary and extraordinary water supply. A copy of the said By-laws is deposited at the office of the Council, Broadway, and is open to the inspection of the public during office hours from the date hereof dp to and inclusive of the said Bth day of 'March, 1915.
