Mr X. Andersen, who was recently a. member of the local railway staff, in writing to a friend here from Egypt, states that lie is in-great fettle, lie lias been promoted to the 1 ig’ial Corps, 2nd Squadron, W.M. Regiment, Main Expeditionary Force. He wishes to bo remembered to ail old friends.
There is nothing to report writes one of the Stratford men in the third infantry reinforcements at Trcntham. Things are running along quietly, the Stratford men continue to be exuberantly healthy and moderately happy, and all are doing hard work; but as for anything to write home about, nothing of tho sort is happening. Of the mounted men, Foley and Carter are at present booked for the fourth reinforcement. H. Richmond is in the fourth, with the rank of Sergeant, and, at his own choice, his brother Archie, is staying'also foi; the fourth.
