GRANT HERVEY UNDER SENTENCE OF TWO YEARS'. Sydney, January 5. Grant Hervey was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for forgeery of a telegram. Do passionately protested his innocence, stating that ho was con. victed because of the rottenest gang of perjurers that had over been in the court. The judge refused to suspend the sentence until the Norton case had been decided. ENDEAVOR SEARCH ABANDONED Sydney, February 5. The search for the Endeavor has been abandoned, and the Werrihee and Grantala ordered to report at Do- | hart. The authorities recognise that the search was most thorough, and that everything possible lias been done.
