The time for closing Llie entries for the big autumn lixture is now draw. ing near, and a large number, are being received eaeli day. The dog section is always a feature at the New Plymouth Show. The horse section will also be very strong, especially among the draughts, where it is expected the competition will be the keenest on record. In the Jersey, Ayreshire, and Holstein classes, in the cattle section will be found the very best strains in New Zealand. In addition to the splendid prizes offered for the fat cattle, there are several good specials, which have been generously donated by well-wishers of the Society. Entries finally close with the secretary. New Plymouth, on Saturday, 13th inst.
