EXPLORATION IN NEW GUINEA. (United Fresh Association.] (Received 10 a.in.) Sydney, February 3. Mr Mac Alpine, a New Guinea explorer, ha's returned with the State’s expedition. They went 700 miles up the Fly River, which he describes as the Amazon of Australasia, it being sixt ymiles' wide at the mouth, 'I2OO yards at three hundred miles, and thirty yards at the farthest point reached, which was within two hundred miles of its source.
