The Prime Minister of Canada (Hon Mr Borden), speaking in the Legislature with reference to the war, said that his experience of the attitude of the United States was that it was most cordial and friendly. American young men were showing a disposition to enlist, and scores had already enlisted in the Canadian regiments. He was sure that countless numbers would ho forthcoming when the necessity arose, than which there would he no proof so striking of the friendliness of the United States.

other Atlantic ports was destroyed by dynamite. An ex-German officer named Aon Horne lias been arrested at A ancehoro, Maine. He confessed to the crime, declaring it was due to hatred of Canada because of her participation in the war.
It is believed that a plot to invade Canada is still brewing, and that all preparations have been made.
