TARANAKI SHOW.
The Metropolitan Society of the district is holding its annual show and third autumn show on February 24 and 25. That the change from the spring to autumn is popular, is shown hy the great number of entries that were received for the last two shows. A glance at the schedule will be suflicient to convince all who have made up their minds to attend the show, that there will be plenty to interest them. Several new classes have been introduced this year, including two military events, which, at such a time as this, should attract large entries, and will undoubtedly bo interesting to the public. The gift calf competition this year seems to be meeting with genera] favor, as numerous entries have already boon received, and a number of others promised. Fntries close definitely on February 13th.
