PERSONAL.

Mrs Mudford (Stratford) accompanied by her sister, Mrs Bowater (of Sanson), the Misses D. and A. Mudford, and Master Earle Bowater, have just returned from a week’s holiday at the Stratford Mountain House

Captain Clifton, a prominent resident of Pahiatua, who has been connected for many years with a largo number of public institutions and has volunteered for active service, was tendered a civic farewell on Saturday night by a representative gathering (states the Press Association). The Mayor, Mr Crewe, made him a presentation on behalf of the citizens. Capt. Clifton also received gifts from the Hide Club, Masonic Lodge, and Methodist Church.
