MEETING AT KAPONCA, g The third annual conference of Taranaki Fire Brigade's was held at < A3p<uiga last night, when delegates representing all ,the brigades were present.. The President (Captain T. The first conference was held at New Plymouth, the second at Waitara, and-itj was decided to accept Stratford's vinvitation to hold the next at IStfatford, suitable grounds and water pressure being obtainable. A motion by the Patea Brigade to hold the demonstration in October Svvas lost, it being decided to keep to tbe'old date, the last week in January. , -„■;.. After some discussion it was s 'decided' to lay several recommendations before the. United Fire Brigades' AssoeiaThe following officers were elected for'this year: President: Capt. Grifvfiths (Fitzroy); vice-Presidents, Capt. Nuttall (Eltham), and Lieut. Boon (New Plymouth). Secretary Champion was fe-elected.
