AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. A programme of novelty and interest will be screened to-morrow night for the first time in Taranaki. The star, -1800 ft. play, “One of our Girls,” is a big international play of power and splendour, every scene being remarkably well acted. The supporting films are Pathe’s War Gazette, containing: Honoring the brave, Ostend’s tribute to her fallen sons, refugees at Ostend, cooking for the homeless victims of German brutality, recruiting extraordinary in London, a Belgian village barricaded against the Germans, a hero of the Arethusa, Xewestel honors, E. R. A. Wakefield killed in action, German prisoners of war, the German cruiser Breslau and many others. All scenes relating to the war have been passed by the British censor. Other spleucud pics a-, us aie “A Mountain Pass” (beautiful color scenic), and two comedies, “Tangled Tangoist,” and “The Ever Gallant Marquis.”
