HOUSE BURNT DOWN. Per Press Association. Auckland, January 25. A fire at Green Lane destroyed a bouse, occupied by J. B. Young, which' was insured in the South British Office, for £450. RESULT OF GRASS FIRES. Napier, January 25. A ten-roomed dwelling at Poraite, owned by Dudley Hill and occupied by H. L. Mitchell, was totally destroyed by lire yesterday. The outbreak originated in a grass lire which could not be checked before it reached the house. Insurance: On the house £IOOO, on the furniture £3OO both in the New Zealand office.
