A case of considerable interest to members of A. and P. Societies, farmers, and others was heard recently at the Bqrrigaq. (N.S.W.) police court, when John Dunn, claimed from the Berrigan. Agricultural and Horticultural Society £9, prize money won, with horses at the 1914 show. Plaintiff produced receipts, to show that the horses were, his property, and did not belong to the firm of, Dunn Bros., who had. been disqualified by the Society in 1913. The defence was that the receipts did not supply, proof of ownership, as...demanded, to .the, committee. A verdict for the plaintiff for the full amount was entered.

W. F. Clouston, -who for some time has been a popular member of the staff of the National Bank of New Zealand at Stratford, leaves to-night foy Paparoa, to which branch of the Bank he has transferred . as accountant., Mr Clousfon has made many, friends in Stratford who will extend,; him best wishes in his new Ipcntion. To-day a pleashig little ceremony took place, when Hr F. G. Hartley, manager of the Bank, on behalf of the staff., made a presentation to Mr Clouston as. a. mark of the esteem and regard in which, he is held. Mr Hartley spoke,highly of Mr Cloustonfs. ability, andTof the, future which lies, befoi-e hint, the recipient, suitably responding.
