STRATFORD BOWLING CLUB

A pairs competition is being arranged to be competed for by A.C. and •']).. Section players. Entries (free) close on Monday evening, 25th inst., on the green. Tbere was a good muster on the green yesterday, every rink being occupied with a progressive pairs match which was most enjoyable. The winners were, .Fookes (skip) and- Lopdell (lead). The green is playing better than ever, and some really excellent play was to be seen, especially among the skips. Fookes and Edgecombe tied on points, winning four games each, but the former led by, four in the aggregate scores. The following are the detailed points scored : Leads. —King 1 point, Porritt 3, Wright 2}, McMillan 3, W. McDonald 3, Morrison 1, Sharp 2. Lopdel I, Skoglund 2], C. Jackson 3. Skips.—Capper 2-J points, Perm 1, Leversedge 3, Fookes 4, Nicholson 1, Bickerton 3, Edgecombe 4, H.. Wilson 2, Martin 2, Reeve 2*.
