WILHELM THE MONGREL. MORE PEDIGREE CLAIMS. HIS PROMISED PILGRIMAGE. Unhid Fbim Association. (Received 8.45 a.m.) Cairo, January 19. A missionary refugee from Haifa, says the Turks celebrated an alleged victory over the Russians in the Caucausus, organising a fete'and procession, whereof the feature was honoring Mahomet and the Kaiser. The Lutheran pastor was compelled to join in the cry of "God protect Kaiser Hadj Wilhelm." For the benefit of the Arabs it has been discovered that the Kaiser is a direct descendant of the Prophet's sister, and he has undertaken to make a pilgrimage to Mecca at the end of the war.

PURSUIT OF TURKS AFTER KARAUCAN. Petrograd, January 10. Official: The pursuit of the Turks from Karaurgan continues. A two days' battle at Jenihos ended in the defeat of a Turkish division, which lost heavily, and fled precipitately, abandoning baggage. Many prisoners were taken. In one wood at Karaurgan the Russians found 900 Turks frozen to death, their icy hands still grasping their rifles. The temperature was 13 degrees below zero. Those who were alive actually attempted to fight, but were quickly taken prisoners.
