TARANAKI SCHOLARSHIPS. Per Press Association. Wellington, January 17. The following results have been announced : Colin James Campbell (Stratford District High School), 2687. Gordon Mcßride Salt (New Plymouth Boys’ High School), 2562. PUBLIC SERVICE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION. The following Palmerston, Wanganui, and Taranaki names appear among the first hundred candidates who passed the Public Servicee entrance examination, order qtf merit being given:—(1) Joseph Richard Sutcliffe (Palmerston North); ; (18) Alexander S. Hogg (Wanganui); (27) Gordon F. Saunders (Stratford); (57) George T. Day (Wanganui); (73) Edward B. Taylor (Stratford). MATRICULATION. Taranaki candidates who qualified for matriculation on scholarship papers were: E. W. C. Jobson (New Plymouth), 2275; H. J. Mail (Stratford), 2118. • PASSED WITH CREDIT. The only Taranaki candidates who passed with credit were' the two Taranaki scholarship winners.
