dominion tournament. Pkb Press Association. Auckland, January 17. The annual tournament of tho Dominion Bowling Association was, continued on Saturday in fine weather. Tho .final full rink match was played and the pairs championship was also brought .to a finality.
PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS. The section finals in the pair championship match were decided at Remuora green, tho results being as follows Section A.—Webb (Wellintgon) 10, v Harp (Carterton) 11. Section B.—Lamb (Carlton) 11, v. Jury (Karan gahake) 8. Section C.—Hardie Neil (Auckland) 23, v. Carswell (Taieri) 8. Section D.—Lambie (Pihama) 16, v. Balia ntyne (Wellington) 11. Section E.—Mclndoe (Otahuhu) 14, v. Cohen (Wanganui) 9. Section F.—Parsons (Ponsonby) 13, v. Brnckenridge (Newtown) 12. Section G.—McLaren (Dunedin) 14, v. Finer (Ponsonby) 12. Section H.—Smellie (Green Island) 17, v. Prince (Newtown) 9. Inter-section Play.—Lambie 19, v. Parsons 16. Parsons appeared to have this gamo won, for at the 11th head he was leading by 16—11. Lambio scored eight on the remaining four heads, and won hy a margin of three points, Smellie 16, v. Webb 10. Mclndoe 15, v. Hardie Neil 14. McLaren 14, v. Lamb 8. Mclndoe 15, v. McLaren 13. Smellie 15, v. Lambie 13. lire final was won by the Green Island team (Blackwood and Smellie) 24, who heat Otahuhu (J. Mclvor and J. Mclndoe), 15. ■ In /the contest for the third place Dunedin (Gregory and McLaren) 22, beat Pihama (Pohe and Lambie), 12. FULL RINK CHAMPIONSHIP. The full rink championship final between Nash, of Palmerston North, and Hill, of Te Hiwi, provided a spirited contest, which was closely contested right up to the 21st head. The game ending—Nash 20, Hill 13. In the contest for the third place Dominion Road defeated KarangaInike.
TARANAKI BOWLING CENTRE. Record entries have been received by the secretary of the Taranaki Bowlin-; Association, Mr 0. N. Firth, for the first open championship tournament, to lie held on the 20th, 27th, and 28th January.
