FIRES.
JUNEDIN DWELLINGS DESTROYED. [Pan Puna Aseooiatiiin.] Dunedin, January 15. A fire at Maori Hill this afternoon resulted in 'the complete destruction of a six-roomed house, owned by J. Drunimond, a carpenter. The rear portion of an adjoining house, owned by John iviiijr, was considerably damaged, while a seven-roomed house on the other side, owned by S. Young, was badly scorched. Drummond's house was insured for £;500 in the Standard office and the furniture for £3OO in the Atlas office.
A twelve-roomed house at Anderson's Bay. owned by Mrs John White, and occupied by Mr G. Moodie, was destroyed by fire this afternoon. The house was insured for £IOOO in the Standard office and the furniture for £6OO in the same office. Furniture to the value of about £4OO was saved. The house was valued at £1460, and the furniture at £BOO.
