WOMEN'S FRANCHISE.
THE MOVEMENT IN U.S.A. [United Pa ess Association.] Washington, January 13. The House of Representatives, by 20 to 174, refused to submit, an amendment to the Federal Constiution enfranchising women. Enormous interest was taken. Women's organisations invaded the capital in crowds. They hoped to establish suffrage throughout the States, instead of working for its adoption in the individual States.
