Heavy rain for the past few days caused considerable damage in the Khnieri lake and Humphries’ districts. On Saturday night the' goldiid’ds water race carried away seven chains by’ the hillside, and the damage will take several days to repair. In the meantime the electric power will “ho stopped in the borough, as the water pipes were carried away. The approaches to the bridge at Coal Creek were washed out, hut they were renewed early this morning. On the Bluespur and Humphries’ road considerable damage is erportod to road ■culverts. ‘ •
