LAW CLERK IN COURT. IF** Pnasit Amooiatiom.l Gisborne, January 4. Frank Mcllroy pleaded guilty to receiving £3OO from Edward Hooper, a law clerk, knowing the same to have been dishonestly obtained. Ho was committed for sentence at Auckland. MASKED MARAUDER’S ACT. Gisborne, January 4. 1 masked man entered a dwelling at Whataupoko early this morning, and nearly strangled Mrs Brice, who wm. alone at the time, ransacked the house, and look £ls.
