GENERAL CABLES.
FATAL TRAIN COLLISION AT !L----FORD STATION. (Received 8.50 a.m.) London, January 1. An express train ran through a local train while crossing the points at 11* ford station and turned over the embankment. A number of carriages wore smashed, seven persons being killed and many injured. Ten were killed and twenty seriously wounded.
