A statement stowing the principle *of the military censors’ conduct of their work has been submitted to Mr Pearce (Minister for [Defence). It points out thfe object was not to withhold information from the public, but to prevent it reaching the enemy. The' Daily Telegraph. criticising the statement, says: There is great cause for legitimate .complaint. News is being kept babk in order hot.to excite and alarm the which is ! sheer folly; and the sooner it is stopped the better.
