Advices from Constantinople are to the effect that the majority of the Turkish battleship Messudieh’s crew were drowned. ESCAPEES FROM THE EMDEN London, December 19. A message from Tokio states that a British cruiser captured the Emden’s fugitives aboard the Ayesha. THE CRUISER TENNESSEE. Times and Sydney Bun Bibvioxi. (Received 8.0 a.m.) London, December 19. The American cruiser Tennessee has arrived at Alexandria. RUSSIAN CRUISER'S REPORT FROM PORT SAID. (Received 9.45 a.m.) Petrograd, December 20. Official: The cruiser Askold arrived at Port Said with a captured German vessel from off the Syrian coast. The Askold had also blown up a Turkish steamer, and sank another at Beirut.
MINE-SWEEPERS BLOWN UP ON THE YORKSHIRE COAST.
(Received 9.45 a.m.) London, December 20. Two mine-sweepers between Scarborough and Filey were blown up, and a third seriously damaged. The bulk of the crows were saved.
