SHORTAGE OF FLOUR.
GOVERNMENT ARRANGING A
SUPPLY.
On Thursday Mr J. B. Hine,
M.P., telegraphed Mr W. F. Massey, informing him that the majority of the bakers in .Strafford and Inglewood had only sufficient flour, for a week’s supply of bread, and asked Mr Massey to assist in obtaining flour if at all possible. Yesterhe received the following replies which should be of interest to the people o the district: — J.j B. Hiiie'Esq, M.P., Toko.—Your telegram re flour Stratford and Inglewood received, am having immediate inquiries made and will advise you later.--W. F. Massey. 1
J; B. Hine Esq, M.P., Toko.Hope that ten tons flour will arrive at each Stratford and Inglewood next week.—W. F. Massey.
