UNION FORCES CASUALTIES-.
United Press Association. (Received 1.30 p.m.) Capetown, December 18. The total casualties among the - Union forces in Africa were 439, comprising 337 caused by the rebellion, . and 105 in Damaraland. The deaths H are 159.
THE BOMBARDMENT' OF SARDS’.
(Received 12.35 p.m.) Athens, December 18
Details of the bombardment of Saros by the British show the barracks was completely destroyed, the fortifications being seriously damaged. The Turks panicked and fled far inland.
