TREATMENT OF ALLIES’ CONSULS IN ARABIA.

ITALIAN ATTACHE WOUNDED.

(Received 12.55 p.m.) Washintgon, December 17. 1 Official.—The report of the American Government relates that after the British and Trench Consuls took refuge in the Italian Consulate at Hocleida; in Arabia, Ottoman military surrounded the Consulate and began firing, during which the Italian Attache was wounded. The British Consul then surrendered. The Turkish Governor accused the Italian Consul of firing on Turkish troops. Italian warships arrived opportunely, took the Italian Consul aboard, and remained off shore until Italy presented demands for the release of the other Consuls, which was later effected.
