NEW ZEALANDERS’ EXCITING EXPERIENCES.

Sydney, December 15

Mr J, Clegg and the Misses McNicoll, of Dunedin, arrived by the Ventura;. They relate exciting experiences since leaving London at the end of July. They travelled to Paris, Nice, Genoa and Barcelona to Rio de Janiero, where they hoarded the India Prince for New York. The Indian Prince was captured, and sunk by the Kronz Prinz Wilhelm. They spent 8 days aboard the Kronz Priuz, being treated with every consideration, after which they were transferred to a collier, and retiyned to Rio. They left again for New York, and passed within twenty miles of the Karlsruhe, and reached New York, where they caught the Ventura. GENERAL. Sydney, December 14. A special meeting of wharf laborers re-affirmed the decision not to work with Germans, Austrians, or Turks. The Portland branch of vail ray vorkers has re-endorsed the cession i ot to allow members to ‘ e victimised beca.i-i; they are of alien huvuso long as they are good unionists and lawabiding citizens. The secretary stated that the members are patriotic, but against jingoism gone mad.
