Le Matin states that when the Austrians penetrated Doukouba, outnumbering the Servians by 6 to 1, the King, accompanied by Princess Alexander and George, made a dramatic appearance on a charger, and exhorted the troops to drive out the enemy. Thereupon followed the Servian victory.
