CAPTAIN COOK LETTERS.
PURCHASE DECLINED. [Br Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press .Association.] (Received 10.30 a.m.) Sydney, December 7. The Government declined the offer of two of Captain Cook's letters descriptive of his first and second voyages in the South Seas. The price wanted was £1230. The dealer recently paid £550 for the letters.
