MR YOUNG'S MEMORY.
[To The Editor Stratford Post.]
Sir, —At his meeting on Friday MiHawkins accused Mr W. H. H. Young of having a bad memory and implied that Mr Young was responsible for my nomination being missed at an election for Mayor some years ago. This statement is entirely without foundation, in fact, the omission had nothi-ig whatever to do with Mr Young, and was quite my own fault. Had I bean present on Friday night, Mr Hawkins would have had this statement direct from me in the Hall. This is the only reason I have for regretting my absence from the meeting, as I really have not time, or inclination to spend an hour or two listening to clap-trap from gentlemen of Mr Hawkins' calibre. I am, etc., T. L. PAGET.
