FIFTH ANNUAL SHOW. THE PEOPLE’S DAY.

After the weather yesterday the A. and P. Association was exceedingly lucky to strike a day as fine as to. day for the People’s Day, which is deservedly popular with people in all parts of the province. Yesterday the weather was windy and threatening rain. This morning broke dull, and at breakfast time there was a suggestion of rain in the air; hut by nine o’clock the weather seemed settled down for a fine though cloudy day. The Borough Councils’ water cart was out early, and the whole stretch of road from the Post Office to Flint Road had a good drenching with water. The Show officials were again early on the scene, keeping' things going and preparing for the big day ahead of them. Visitors from outside began to arrive on the ground early, and the touch of color provided by ladies’ dresses was in evidence, making a contrast with the first day. Activity was general all over the ground, the judges starting early on their work. JOTTINGS. r . T~ Walker, Stratford, has on exhibition the fine grade Shorthorn bull General Joffre.
