MR MINE'S CAMPAIGN. At Tututawa on' Monday evening there was a good muster to hear Mr J. B. Hine; The chair was taken by Mr Jacobsdn, who spoke of the pleasure at again meeting their candidate. Air Hine in a forceful speech spoke on the leading political questions of the day,»aud at the close, on the motion of Mr W. Simpson, a vote of thanks for the address and confidence in the Massey administration was passed. 1 At Stanley Road on Tuesdays evening there- was a good attendance of settlers,.Mr G. Sangster being in the chair. Mr Hine, who is always well received in this district, was listened to with close attention. Mr Hine, in a clear and persuasive manner, spoke on t!:e leading political questions of the day, and especially dealt with the aims of the Massey Administration. At the' close a vote of thanks to Mr Hine and. confidence in the Massey Government was unanimously passed. MRrLAWRY RETIRES. Auckland East, December 2. Mr Lawry (Liberal) has retired from the Parnell contest in Mr Sullivan's favor.
