PEOPLE'S DAY.
People's Day at the Show! For long enough we have all been looking forward to that happy re-union of old friends which again takes place tomorrow at Stratford. Since last People's Day the world has seen some sad change, and Europe is plunged in war. Put here in this distant overseas Dominion we have suffered hardly at all. and can but fall far short of a realisation of what our fellowmen and women are suffering in the Old Lands. There is, however, no reason to live in gloom, and if the sun is but kind enough to shine to-morrow Stratford should witness a great and happy gathering from all the countryside. Many visitors from distant-places art in town and we may expect to welcome many more who will arrive by road and rail. Willing workers have done all that in their power lies to ensure success, and the big exhibition of stock and implements is the bos''
yet got together on Stratford's Show Ground. All that is wanted to ensure a great day is line weather!
